Our neighbors live next door. They are near to us and we never suspect anything strange about them. Or do we? Sometimes, you can have thoughts like this. The horror of such suspicions are understandable – you never know who is the person standing or sitting in front of you. This is always some kind of a mystery and each of us has something to hide. Even when we don’t hide anything for a purpose, we cannot stay open to the entire world at all.

Well, we claim that the main concept of the Hello Neighbor title is pretty serious and deep if you will think about it for a while. Neighbors can be maniacs and in fact… every maniac has been someone’s neighbor.

The story about the game is something like hide and seek with death. You will act as a youngster that tries to get into the house of his neighbor since he suspects this man in being not just an ordinary person, but maybe a serial killer or a guy with pretty strange life activities. One day, you notice that he acts in a manner you cannot interpret in any other way than hiding something in his basement, being very worried at the same time. However, is this really something or maybe… someone? Yes, it turns to be that your neighbor kidnaps people and locks them inside of his basement, but you have no idea if you are 100% right about that, so there is no other choice than to find out the truth. Enter the neighbor’s house and find out everything about himself, his destiny, and truth about his life. As you have already guessed, he really is a maniac and the victim hidden inside of the basement is waiting for torturing and death. Well, that’s a sad story and as a person who saw this and knows something really horrible, you have no choice but to try entering the house and preventing the tragedy. Well, we wish you good luck, because the neighbor is a really tough guy and you would better avoid meeting him too close – he will surely kill you when such an opportunity appears as a potential way of dealing with you. Don’t be surprised when he gets you in his paws – he doesn’t have mercy towards anyone. Solve his tricky puzzles, discover the house, and try to stay unnoticed if you can.
