Let’s groove to the beat!

The main essence of FNF is to maximize your score by hitting the buttons according to the clues on the screen following the changes in the song playing. Each battle lasts for three rounds and then your points are summed up and compared against the score of your rival to determine the winner. So it’s mostly about your ear for music and of course the agility of your fingers. And in that sense, it’s important how you position them.

There are many techniques for placing fingers and hands on the game control keys. Beginners usually use the fingers of one hand to play. In this case (if the arrow keys are used), the index finger lies on the left arrow, the ring finger on the Right, and the middle one rushes between the Up and Down keys. There is also a variant of “mirroring” to the previous placement of the fingers of the left hand on the “WASD” keys. Perhaps it is especially convenient for left-handers.

Despite the seeming convenience of playing with the fingers of one hand, it should be noted that grandiose results cannot be achieved in this way. The most recommended finger placement is one in which each finger is responsible for only one key, which increases the responsiveness (no need to move your finger to the desired key) and prevents confusion.

Practice make perfect

Friday Night Funkin is impossible without constant grinding! You may need several days to complete the first week, a week to complete the second… Of course, everything is very individual, but get ready for constant losses. It is best to start each week with the Easy mode, and then, after working out the technique and learning the patterns, switch to Normal and Hard.

Don’t jump from level to level. Play the game in order. If you haven’t passed the first week in hardcore mode, don’t even try to move to the second. The second week is a damn nightmare, especially the Spookeez song, which will be very difficult to get through. Focus on mastering the red arrows in this song. Most of the workout is about developing muscle memory for difficult sequences, so repeating tracks, even if you think you can never get through them, is key. Good luck!
