Wanna spend your free time in a fun and unobtrusive way? You’ve come to the right place! Arcade games are distinguished by an unpretentious and always understandable plot, the ability to play indefinitely, receive bonuses and rewards. The genre appeared almost 50 years ago and was originally created for slot machines. Gradually, the idea was transformed and, after significant improvements, it stood out in a separate category of virtual entertainments that are now some of the most popular online.

Simple, endless and fascinating!

So what are the hallmarks of the genre? The first unique feature of arcades is simplicity. Even preschoolers can play these games. For kids, the plots provide lightweight levels – the speed of the character’s movement is reduced, there is time to think on your actions.

Secondly, arcade games are inherently endless. The main character is in dynamic movement, running forward and earning various awards. The gamer strives to defeat themselves – to complete the game better, more productively, faster, get more points and beat their own record.

That’s the kind of thing that drives you to play more and more, even if you already spent long hours at the computer. At the same time, there is no obligatory gameplay length – for instance, you don’t have to keep playing until you complete a mission to save your progress, you can break off any time and continue when it’s more convenient for you. And all you’ll have to do is simply to start the level over in the worst-case scenario.

Any setting and characters to your liking!

In recent years, arcades have grown more complex. Games with a storyline have become a separate class of modified arcades. They require the player to be attentive, responsive, energetic. In the process of passing the game, the program generates tasks of different complexity that need to be quickly solved. This forces the user to be focused and increases engagement in the gameplay.

The storylines of arcades today are very diverse. Together with the game characters, you can set out on a space flight, walk through the forest, a race through the underground catacombs, and swim with pirates. Representatives of cartoon universes often become the main protagonists of this genre. This makes the whole process more fun and interesting, especially for those who used to watch these cartoons as kids (or still do). Have you already picked an arcade to your taste?
